This scene unfolded at The Connaught, the world’s best bar, during a one-off night featuring SoGood Saké cocktails.
Guided by the expertise of Giorgio Bargiani, Assistant Director of Mixology at The Connaught, we embarked on a journey of taste and tradition reimagined with three exquisite saké cocktails.
Cocktail 1 – Rice Mary
Our evening began with a take on the famous Connaught Bar Bloody Mary. Pepped with homemade spices and remarkable celery air, this is a beautifully balanced reinterpretation of the legendary reviver.
Ingredients: SoGood Saké, Tomato liquor, Spicy mix, Lemon juice, Celery air, Nutmeg
Cocktail 2 – Rise Twice
This martini cocktail combines the smoothness of rice vodka and sake with the rich flavour of tomato liquor. It then has a drop of tonka bitters and confit tomato garnish.
Ingredients: SoGood Saké, Rice Vodka, Tomato liquor, Tonka Bitters, Confit Tomato
Cocktail 3 – Ruby Milk
This cocktail combines the flavours of dry sherry, pineapple, fennel seeds, lavender, lemon verbena, and milk. Ruby Vermouth and an orange leaf spray complement it.
The Ruby Milk embodied Giorgio Bargiani’s innovative spirit, showcasing his ability to marry unconventional ingredients.
Ingredients: SoGood Saké, Milk Punch (Dry sherry, Pineapple, Fennel seeds, Fennel, Lavender, Lemon Verbena, Milk), Ruby Vermouth and Orange Leaf Spray
